Letters of Appreciation
Good morning!

My name is Ms. Smith and I am a 9th grade Social Studies teacher for some wonderful students at Brighter Futures
Charter School in California. We are currently learning about The Civil War. I just wanted to let you know that we have
been using your page, http://www.hardcoreconfederates.com/History_page.html .  It's been so helpful for one of our
projects in class. My students just absolutely loved your site!

One of my students, Samantha, came to me with another resource that was very helpful:

"Guns & Other Weaponry from the Civil War"
http://www.gunhoo.com/guns-and-other-weaponry-from-the-civil-war.html

She thought it would be a perfect addition to your site of already valuable resources! (She is always going above and
beyond...such a great kid!)

Would you mind adding it to your resource list? I, too, think it is a great resource and I would love to show her that her
hard work has paid off! I know that if she saw it up on your page she would be delighted!

P.S. I've decided that Samantha will be awarded with extra credit for her special find and a good deed done well, so
please let me know if you decided to add it. :-)

Have a fantastic day!

Sincerely,
Cassandra

Subject: quick question about your History page!

Hi there!

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know that your page
http://www.hardcoreconfederates.com/History_page.html has great info on it! Two girls I'm tutoring in Social Studies
found your page while looking for sources for their Civil War final project. They wanted to share another page that
they really loved: http://www.legalmatch.com/understanding-14th-amendment.html It's a fantastic article on the 14th
Amendment!

This is my first semester tutoring and so far I really love it! Teaching seems like such a collaborative profession, which
is why I was hoping you wouldn't mind adding the page the kids found to your site with all of your other helpful
resources :)

I think it would thrill the girls to see their suggested page on your website; I told them that if you were kind enough to
include their page on yours, I would have a surprise for them at the end of the lesson (probably a tutoring session
outside, picnic style!). It actually is a useful article with a lot of good material, which is why I indulged them by
contacting you. Again, sorry for the interruption!

Thanks so much, can't wait to hear from you!!

Subject: Special Thanks for your page from Mrs.Sullivan and Kids! :)

Hi There!

I just wanted to send you a quick note on behalf of some of the kids in our After School Program! I've been using your
page ( http://hardcoreconfederates.com/History_page.html ) quite a bit lately, while going over the Civil War with them,
it has been super helpful :)

As a Thank You, I wanted to pass along another resource that the group found and wanted to share about Clara
Barton and her role in the war: ( http://www.nursegroups.com/article/the-life-of-clara-barton.html )

We've actually been using it just as much as your page and thought that maybe you would want to include it on your
site! I was hesitant to email you at first but the group keeps asking if I've talked to you about it yet haha.

Would you possibly consider adding it for them? I would love to surprise and show them before we finish the unit this
Friday, that their research find has actually benefited someone else! They would be so excited!...and I may even
surprise them with a pizza party ;)

Thanks again!
-Karen

Pathway to Empowerment
Good afternoon!

We wanted to say thank you for your page, http://www.hardcoreconfederates.com/History_page.html ! I am the
Youth Group Leader at Holy Trinity Academy in Arizona and my kids have been using your web page while learning
about Civil Rights. They found your resources to be so helpful!

The group would like to pass along another page as a thank you:

"The Constitution's 14th Amendment"
http://www.lacriminaldefensepartners.com/constitution-14th-amendment/

They were hoping that you could include this on your site!  I think it's a great page filled with a lot of valuable
educational material.  Thank you again and we hope you include our newly discovered resource to your page! I
know they would be delighted to see it up!

Have a wonderful day!
